If you’re in wetter conditions, like boating or heavy rain, an IP67 rating means the device can be submerged in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. For extreme environments, opt for IP68, which provides the highest level of protection against prolonged water exposure and dust ingress and is typically only found on marine radio models.
